Glenbrook Vintage Railway is celebrating 100 years of the Waiuku branch line and Steam Inc is celebrating its 50th Anniversary.
So GVR and Steam Inc have joined forces, which will see Ja1271 coming up from Wellington for a select period. GVR, in conjunction with Steam Inc, will be running trips with for locals using Ja1271 and a combination of GVR and Steam Inc's carriages - making for some impressive, large, multi-coloured trains! - in and around Auckland and the Waikato. An exciting tour is organised for the return journey back to Wellington - taking in many parts of the Upper North Island rail network.
