Visit Ruapehu have partnered with the Glenbrook Vintage Railway to bring you these hand crafted packages based in Taumarunui, National Park and Ohakune so that you can experience the best of the Ruapehu region.

Packages include the return train journey aboard GVR's heritage train, your accommodation, and a variety of activities and guided options. Some packages include additional meals, treats, and extras.

Taumarunui

The bush-lined Whanganui and Ongarue rivers welcome visitors to the Ruapehu's largest town, Taumarunui. Adventure on the river, meet some alpacas, or go fishing!

National Park

In the middle of a true wilderness wonderland, National Park Village boasts panoramic views of all three mountains, Mount Tongariro, Mount Ngauruhoe and Mount Ruapehu.

Ohakune

Ohakune, the southern gateway to the Tongariro National Park, caters for both summer and winter visitors. Great access to hiking, biking, and bushwalking.
