Step into Auckland’s largest Christmas lights display at Glenbrook Vintage Railway, with illuminated trains, Santa’s Grotto, night markets, food, entertainment and one included heritage train ride.
Book for 2026
Your booking is for entry to Christmas Lights on your selected event night. You do not reserve a particular train departure. Once inside the event, join the train queue when you are ready to take your included return ride.
Online tickets offer the best-value fare and are limited for each night. Walk-up tickets are also available at the gate.

Pay by cash or card at the entrance on the night.
Trains operate throughout the evening and cannot be reserved by departure time. Your admission includes one return heritage train journey. We recommend arriving earlier in the evening if you would prefer shorter queues and a more relaxed visit.
One may depart from Glenbrook Platform and the other from a temporary platform. Your ticket entitles you to ride one or the other, not both. Both train trips are identical in length and distance.
Thursday 17 December 2026 is booked separately from the standard Christmas Lights nights.
