Enjoy a return journey on Glenbrook Vintage Railway’s Matariki Night Lights Steam Train, departing every 35 minutes from the Festival site at Victoria Ave, Waiuku, between:
1:00pm and 9:10pm
The Matariki Night Lights Festival at Ōhā Café, Waiuku, will run from 12 noon till late, featuring:
– Night Markets
– Great Kai (food & drink)
– Live entertainment and more!

No door sales – all tickets must be booked online in advance for a specific train departure time.

Trains depart Waiuku (Victoria Ave) regularly from:
1:00pm to 9:10pm
Return journey is approximately 30 minutes.
Please follow event parking signage when you arrive in Waiuku.

Bookings close at 1:00pm on the day – but may sell out earlier.
You still need to redeem your online booking at the ticket tent to receive your train tickets.

Yes, you can still come to the festival, even if train tickets are sold out.
However, you won’t be able to ride the train unless you’ve booked in advance.

Infants under 2 are free and may sit on an adult’s lap.

No, but there is a safe area to park your stroller before boarding.

Trains depart from the Waiuku Festival site every 35 minutes, from:
1:00pm to 9:10pm
The train runs a return trip from Waiuku to Pukeoware.
You cannot get off at Pukeoware – all passengers return to Waiuku.
Each ticket is for a specific departure time, so wait times should be short if you're in the correct queue.
If your chosen time is sold out, check other departures for availability.
Please make sure you are:
– Through the ticket tent
– In the train queue 15 minutes before your booked time
The train queue will be managed with multiple lanes and signs to direct visitors to the correct departure queue.
